We are looking forward to welcoming French holiday makers back to the Gers and to Le Petit Cochon…
…as France begins the phased lifting of restrictions announced by the President Macron and the first minister Jean Castex – who, by the way, comes from a village just a short distance from here!
Our welcome is as warm as ever – our guest rooms are ready, coffee pots poised for action and the garden is looking lovely right now – in short, it’s a good time to stay at Le Petit Cochon.
From May 3 the 10k travel limits are lifted and travel between the departments and regions is allowed without restriction outside of curfew hours (you will need to arrive with us by 7pm at the latest). Restaurants are still closed but evening meals at Le Petit Cochon are available by prior reservation and a three-course meal with wine and pre-dinner drinks is 30 euros per person. Our meals are home-cooked, freshly prepared and served with local wines. We can offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes if you tell us at the time of booking.
To Book Please contact us direct by email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 00 33 (0)5 62 68 85 74, as we won’t be opening rooms for booking through on-line travel agents until later in the year.
From Wednesday May 19 further easing of restrictions is expected:
- Curfew time extended to 21h00 (but in line with our check-in times and to avoid an overlap with our dinner service please arrive by 19h00.)
- Restaurants and cafes and bistros can re-open their outside terraces.
- Museums, theatres, concert halls and cinemas can also reopen with certain limits on numbers – this includes are very own Abbaye de Flaran.
- All shops, including those considered ‘non-essential’ can reopen.
We’ll continue to offer table d’hôtes evening meals to guests staying with us and with the hope of warm days around the corner, we will be serving in our lovely garden as before.
We’re also looking forward to early June when it’s expected that foreign tourists will be able to holiday in France again. You can contact us now to check availability and to book.
If you have any questions about a stay at Le Petit Cochon please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
